Jessie Yen leads Sustainability and Compliance at IDP Direct, working across the company’s global operations to navigate the environmental, regulatory, and responsible sourcing requirements shaping the packaging industry.
Having been with IDP since 2019, Jessie brings a broad understanding of both the company and the packaging industry. Her career at IDP has spanned Finance, Customer Service, Sales & Operations, and Project Management before moving into Compliance. This cross-functional experience gives her a practical perspective on how regulatory and sustainability requirements connect with the day-to-day realities of packaging development, sourcing, manufacturing, and customer needs.
Today, her work covers packaging and environmental regulation, responsible sourcing, supply chain traceability, certification, carbon emissions, and social compliance. She works closely with IDP’s global teams, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers to translate complex requirements into practical actions throughout the packaging supply chain.
Jessie is particularly interested in the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape surrounding packaging, including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Her focus is on making complex compliance and sustainability requirements easier to understand and helping businesses turn them into informed, workable decisions.
