This year’s Luxe Pack show was a celebration of creativity, material innovation, and boundary-pushing design and IDP Direct was there to soak it all in.
From sustainable breakthroughs to elevated brand storytelling, Luxe Pack New York reminded us why packaging is so much more than a box or a bag. It’s a statement and we’re here for it.
Standouts from the DIELINE Awards: Design With a Purpose
Thanks to our friends at The DIELINE, we had the chance to explore their curated display of standout packaging concepts that are as beautiful as they are thoughtful.
Tomatier Cherry Tomato Snacks
Playful, vivid, and structured for shelf appeal, this packaging elevates snacking to an art form. The innovative clamshell design, paired with eco-forward materials and punchy typography, makes this a masterclass in form and function.
Sonos Ace Headphones
The Sonos Ace packaging proves that premium tech can meet premium packaging. Sleek, minimal, and recyclable, this unboxing experience feels as high-end as the product itself.
BREVRN NASA Candle Canister
Inspired by space-age aesthetics, this concept uses a cylindrical vessel to nod to the rocket-like experience of scent transport merging nostalgia, tech, and sustainability.
Sammontana BIS!
We couldn’t skip was Sammontana’s Bis! Amarena & Cioccolato ice cream bars. With its bold typography, high-contrast color palette, and mouthwatering photography, it’s a masterclass in Italian branding. The bright, candy-coated visuals practically shout from the freezer aisle: “Take me home!”

Innovation Spotlight: EcoShell’s Bio-Calcium Breakthrough
One of the most intriguing material innovations came from EcoShell, a company turning agricultural waste, specifically eggshells into a material that can replace up to 50% of traditional plastic content. Think food bins, produce bags, industrial buckets, pet pads, and more.
The Journey to the Show: Not All Glitz and Glam
No tradeshow is complete without a bit of travel drama. What was supposed to be a smooth direct flight from Phoenix to Newark turned into a logistical puzzle after sudden delays popped up. A reroute through LaGuardia meant tight connections and frantic sprints through terminals. A reminder that in this business, agility is key, whether we’re designing a folding carton or navigating gate changes.
Until Next Time, Luxe Pack New York!
From immersive displays to one-on-one conversations with visionary creators, Luxe Pack New York continues to be a hub for what’s next in luxury packaging. Our team left inspired, energized, and excited about what’s ahead for our clients and for the industry as a whole.
We’re always looking for new ways to bring this kind of inspiration to the brands we partner with. If you saw something amazing at Luxe Pack or want to talk about how your packaging can evolve, we’re all ears.
